Sourdough Bran and Rye Bread
1 cup water
3/4 cup sourdough starter**
3 tablespoons minced prunes*
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup rye flour
1/3 cup wheat bran
3 cups bread flour
1 & 1/2 teaspoons dry yeast
Preparation:
Add all ingredients in the order suggested by the bread machine manual and process on the basic bread cycle according to the manufacturers instructions.
Notes:
* If the prunes are hard, pour boiling water over them to soften, then drain well.
** After measuring out what is needed for this recipe, be sure to replenish your sourdough starter with equal amounts of flour and water.
