Apple Raisin Bread
1 cup water
3/4 cup apple sauce (unsweetened)
1/3 cup rolled oats
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 & 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
2 cups bread flour
2 & 1/4 teaspoons dry yeast
Preparation:
- Add all ingredients except the rasisins in the order suggested by the bread machine manual and process on the basic bread cycle according to the manufacturers instructions.
- Add the raisins at the beeper or at the end of the first kneading in machines without a beeper to signal the addition of fruit and nuts.
Notes:
Add 1 tsp of cinnamon and use cranberries instead of raisins.
